Kanaan Communications, LLC Project Manager in Fort Worth, Texas

Overview and Essential Functions

You will manage all aspects of jobsite accounting including accounts payable, personnel, payroll, and as-builts to ensure compliance and assist in tasks associated with the construction/upgrade of cable television or telephone systems. You will work closely with the construction management team and support staff to meet build schedules and customer objectives.

What you'll do...

  • Responsible for supervising the billing and reconciliation to customers systems.

  • Ensure adherence to the Company’s policies and procedures, ensuring accuracy and integrity of data and ensure that the internal controls over financial reporting are operating effectively and efficiently.

  • Ensures Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) 404 compliance by performance of scheduled audits.

  • Supervise, train, and develop administrative staff.

  • Work with area supervisors, subcontractors, and customers to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

  • Responsibility for effectively researching and resolving accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies.

  • Responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective communication and coordination with Company personnel.

  • Attend and participate in meetings as necessary.

  • Responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.

  • Completes special projects and miscellaneous assignments as required.

  • Accounting documents, records and reports are prepared and maintained accurately and in a timely manner.

  • Department files are appropriately maintained.

  • Management is appropriately informed of area activities.

  • Reconciliation for internal crew and subcontractor billing to job

  • Supervise production of redline drawings for submission with job packages.

  • Review invoices before billing entry.

  • Escalate requests for steps from customers when needed.

  • Serve as back up for all support functions in the office.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Ability to communicate professionally with co-workers, homeowners, and customers.

  • Ability to lift and/or pull 50 pounds occasionally throughout each workday.

  • Ability to endure long periods of standing, sitting, or walking.

  • Ability to work in an outdoor environment during all times of the year.

  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

  • Possess a valid driver’s license or be eligible and willing to obtain the required license for the position.

  • A good driving record is required.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or 5 years of related work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Detailed working knowledge of telecommunications OSP construction.

  • Previous construction supervisor and/or managerial experience.

  • Project management skills including planning, organizing, and coordinating tasks.

    Pay range is commensurate with experience: $75,000/annual to $81,000/annual
