Marion Childcare University Infant and Toddler Teacher in Fort Worth, Texas

Infant and Toddlers teachers work with children ages 6 weeks to 24 months of age to create a safe, nurturing and respectful environment where they can learn and grow.They are responsible for:

  • Developing activities and curriculum:Create age-appropriate activities and lesson plans that align with the developmental needs of infants

  • Observing and assessing children:Document the children's development, health, skills, behavior, growth, and each assigned child's milestones

  • Teaching social skills:Help children learn how to play fairly with others, and encourage the exploration of interests

  • Creating schedules and routines:Develop schedules and routines that ensure physical activity, rest, and playtime

  • Disciplining and rewarding behavior:Discipline bad behavior and reward good behavior

  • Maintaining records:Maintain proper records, including documenting observations and milestones

  • Following regulations:Follow all state and federal regulations regarding infant care and education

  • Communicating with parents:Communicate with parents/guardians regularly

  • Collaborating with other teachers:Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure continuity of care and education

  • To work in a licensed child care facility in Texas, employees must meet specific minimum standards, including: Being at least 18 years of age. Holding a high school diploma, a high school equivalent, or a high school certificate of coursework completion.
