Scope/Supervision & Interaction: _ Has Direct Reports _X Does Not Have Direct Reports

The Electrical Engineer I will analyze, research, design, and test complex circuits, processes, or systems to develop new and/or improve core products.

  • Designs products or systems of diverse scope and complexity including Analog and Digital

  • Develops and recommends solutions to a variety of complex engineering requirements to ensure that design objectives are met, including required program scope, cost, and schedule constraints

  • Develops complex conceptual and detailed Analog and Digital designs by analyzing product performance and customer requirements

  • Performs diverse and complex product development, modification, and evaluation of components, subsystems, and systems by applying engineering principles and developing new or unique analysis tools as required

  • Capable of debug and support of new designs, production builds and/or field related issues

  • Supports product throughout the life cycle of development, including developing test procedures that ensure proper implementation of requirements

  • Conducts design reviews at various milestones throughout the product life cycle

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering

  • Fundamental knowledge of Electrical Engineering domain principles, concepts, and techniques

  • Experience working in a lab environment with multimeters, power supplies, oscilloscopes, function generators, and soldering irons

  • Experience using schematic entry tools such as Altium

  • Experience using circuit simulation tools such as LTspice

  • Ability to work with general direction and instruction regarding the scope of assignments

  • Ability to meet strict deadlines and work well under pressure

  • Ability to multi-task on several projects at once

  • Excellent communication skills are essential

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Vizio

  • Ability to travel 10% - 20% of the time

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering

  • Prior industry experience or have worked in student internship programs

  • Experience with requirement-based designs and using tools such as DOORS

  • Experience in aerospace standards DO-254, DO-160, ARP-4754
