Work hours: Full Time Days (7:00am – 5:00pm Monday through Friday) for 40 hrs/week.

Here’s What You Need
Education
· H.S. Diploma or Equivalent (Required) And
· Other Certified or Registered Medical Assistant in lieu of the completion of a Medical Assistant education program (Required) Or
· Other Successful completion of a Vocational Nurse program (Required)
Experience
· 2 years Health care facility clinical experience. Must include previous experience as a Certified Medical Assistant or LVN working with an electronic health record. Must also have phlebotomy experience. (Required)
Licenses and Certifications
· CMA - Certified Medical Assistant (Required) Or
· LVN - Licensed Vocational Nurse State of Texas Required And
· BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support maintained every 2 years (Required)
Skills
· Strong oral and written communication skills
· Demonstrated knowledge of examination, diagnostic and treatment room procedures
· Ability to perform EKGs, draw blood, and administer injections as needed by assigned clinic
· Knowledge and skill in the use of personal computers and related systems and software to include Epic
· Ability to work efficiently under pressure, independently, and take initiative
· Ability to set priorities and use good judgment
· Knowledge of urgent care medical specialty
· Knowledge of medical terminology
· Ability to maintain effective and organized systems to ensure timely consumer flow
· Exceptional customer service and phone etiquette and a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism
· Demonstrated sound judgment and composure with the ability to take appropriate action in questionable or emergency situations
What You Will Do
· Behave in a professional and empathetic manner to build trust, comfort, understanding, and relationships with consumers and the secondary guest(s) and in-line with consumer and guest service standards. Welcome (including eye contact, smile, greeting, and personal introduction) the consumer and secondary guest(s) to the center and inquires the purpose and nature of the visit.
· Collect identification and payor related documentation, conduct consumer registration, and perform point of service collection.
· Measure and collect consumer data including temperature, pulse, oxygen saturation, respirations, blood pressure, drug allergies, height, and weight. Conduct hearing and vision screenings. Communicate the data and results to the consumer. Document all data accurately into the consumer medical record.
· Collect and document in the consumer medical record consumer reason for visit and chief complaint, allergies, health history, and current medications for review by provider.
· Complete, when appropriate, standard operating procedures (convenience and clinical) to optimize consumer comfort and through-put. Escalate non-routine issues, questions and/or concerns to the practice manager or healthcare provider(s).
· Provide for patient safety and protection of patient privacy rights. Organize, schedule, complete, and communicate primary care, specialist and ancillary referrals to consumers.
· Maintain care supplies and medications and quality checks throughout the clinic. Prepare, clean and sterilize instruments and maintain equipment, disposing of contaminated items according to protocol. Keep patient exam rooms stocked, clean and orderly.
