Description: An Aerospace Project Manager job is currently available at Belcan in Fort Worth, TX, 76118. We are seeking a talented professional to join our exciting team with focus on engineering design and test of Avionics and Defense Products, with a focus on certifiable software systems. A great matching candidate will have experience in utilizing traditional project monitor and control measures in the context of an agile scrum framework. Assignments involve supporting project leadership and coordination including some scrum master and product owner responsibilities along with coordination across integrated project teams. Tasks may include supporting roles for multiple small projects or project management for a large project.
Job Duties:
· Create and maintain technical project schedules. Monitor and control a portion of an integrated Master Schedule (IMS), including resource loading, critical path, program milestones and how these affect the project. Lead meetings to perform schedule status updates; updating progress on tasks, perform task additions/removals, and linkage updates as needed.
· Evaluate project timelines, deadlines, and budget, identify potential delays and overruns, and facilitate risk migrations.
· Design and manage the project activities including, Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), Organization Breakdown Structure (OBS), the creation/assignment of codes needed, tasks, assignments, durations, and linkages.
· Carry out Product Owner responsibilities.
· Lead efforts with technical team to estimate future activities.
· Analyze correctness and completeness of project plans with respect to DO-178C or MIL-STD-882E guidance.
· Coordinate between Technical Leads, Cost Resources, and client on Earned Value Management (EVM) projects to analyze Earned Value (EV).
· Create and generate reports, as required, to provide client business leaders and technical team key updates on milestones, critical path, cost analysis, and EVM metrics.
· Initiate and support business development needs in coordination with account managers.
Required Qualifications:
· Education: Bachelor's degree in a recognized engineering field from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.
· Experience: Minimum of 5 years of project management experience. Knowledge of industry standard practices and project organization.
· Experience in managing safety-critical, full-lifecycle software aerospace programs.
· Strong experience with MS Excel
· Self-starter and excels at working with a team.
· Very organized with strong attention to detail.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Organic business development acumen.
· Agile Scrum experience.
· Occasional travel may be required.
· Secret Clearance or willingness/ability to obtain Secret Clearance to support cleared projects.
· Due to the nature of the work performed, U.S. Citizenship is required.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
· Experience with Primavera P6, Azure DevOps and/or Microsoft Project.
· Engineering background in the Aerospace industry, preferably Software-focused.
· DO-178C planning document development and FAA Review experience.
· Experience in estimation including extracting accurate estimates from a technical team.
· Engineering services experience.
We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $140,000 to $160,000. Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
