Responsibilities Makes minor corrective adjustments to bowling alley machinery and performs periodic preventive maintenance on automatic handling equipment. Cleans and conditions bowling lanes and return racks; maintains proper stock levels of spare parts and pins for automatic pin setter and mechanical equipment. Assists with general maintenance and cleaning of bowling facilities. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications No prior training or work experience required. Applicant must: 1. Be able to understand and follow written instructions. 2. Have ability to handle tools and equipment used. 3. Be physically able to frequently lift and carry objects weighing 40 to 50 pounds. 4. Be able to actively bend, stoop, reach and work in awkward positions. Highly Preferred Criteria: Have basic mechanical ability and problem-solving skills. PCS Costs Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest. FWS Allowances and Differentials This is a federal wage schedule (FWS) position. All FWS employees are entitled to overtime work for work in excess of 8 hours in a day or in excess of 40 hours in the administrative workweek, whichever provides the greater benefit to the employee. Regular full-time, regular part-time (to include those in a limited tenure appointment category) and regularly scheduled flexible employees are entitled to Sunday premium pay when working Sunday shifts. A FWS employee will be paid a night shift differential of 7.5% for the entire shift when a majority of the employee's regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work occur between the hours of 1500 and 2400. A FWS employee will be paid a night shift differential of 10% of the scheduled rate if a majority of the employee's regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work occur between the hours of 2300-0800. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
