Evaluates and makes recommendations concerning overall plans and proposals for telecommunications programs within the area of responsibility (AOR) of HQ US Army Pacific (USARPAC) G6, Communication and Information Networks and Joint/Coalition Network. Develops plans, policies, and procedures; defines and implements requirements; directs operations; and manages telecommunications programs for command, control, communications, computers, and information management (C4IM) with USARPAC G6 AOR. Provides oversight and management of 40 plus Theater level exercises and all associated Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC) events. Represents USARPAC G6 as telecommunications expert and technical authority at conferences, boards, committees, panels, and reviews. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing guidance pertaining to C4IM (Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Information Management) systems and programs to senior leaders of the organization and other representatives internal/external to the agency; and planning C4IM exercises that support theater-wide, real-world operations for organizations within the assigned area of responsibility. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Managing Human Resources Technical Competence Telecommunications Project/Program Management Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12). For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. This is a Basic proficiency level Cyberspace Workforce position and the incumbent (or Selectee) must achieve: (a) The foundational qualification requirements within 9 months of assignment to a cyberspace work role in accordance with DoDI 8140.02. (b) The resident qualification requirements within 12 months of assignment to a cyberspace work role in accordance with DoDI 8140.02.
