SMX is seeking a Secure Print Administrator responsible for managing, supporting, and optimizing the organization's secure printing solution. This role ensures the implementation, operation, and troubleshooting of 2FA-based secure printing workflows, helping users securely print documents while reducing unauthorized access and waste. The Secure Print Administrator will work closely with IT, cybersecurity, and end-users to support secure print release configurations, maintain print security standards, and improve printing efficiency across the organization.
This is a full-time onsite position.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Secure Print System Administration & Support:
Manage and configure the secure print solution, ensuring proper system functionality.
Provide technical support for users experiencing issues with 2FA secure print release.
Proactively monitor the secure print service to ensure 99% uptime and troubleshoot any service interruptions.
2FA Secure Print Release Support & Training:
Assist Junior Administrators with setting up, managing, and troubleshooting new or existing Multi-Function Devices (MFD) Printers.
Conduct training sessions and develop user guides to improve secure print system adoption.
Address issues such as failed print jobs and printer connectivity problems.
Secure Printing Workflow Optimization:
Ensure secure authentication mechanisms are consistently enforced for print operations.
Monitor and optimize print job efficiency, reducing failed or unnecessary print requests.
Implement process improvements to enhance print security and reduce operational costs.
Enhance printing and document forensics capabilities within the secure print system to maximize traceability and support non-repudiation efforts.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain all NIST 800-53 RMF documentation, artifacts, and procedures related to the secure print solution to support Authority to Operate (ATO) requirements.
Maintain accurate records of user issues, system updates, and secure print system performance metrics.
Develop status reports and recommendations for improving print security and workflow efficiency.
Ensure 2FA secure print release settings remain aligned with NIST, DoD, and IC Policies and Standards.
Required Skills, Experience & Education
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience with enterprise print management solutions and authentication-based printing.
Must hold or be able to obtain one of the following certifications: Cloud+, GICSP, SSCP, Security+, GSEC, FITSP-O, GFACT, CASP+, CCNP Security, CCSP
Clearance: Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance required
Technical Knowledge:
Strong understanding of secure printing, print management solutions, and authentication-based workflows.
Ability to troubleshoot 2FA authentication issues and print job failures.
Familiarity with Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Multifunction Device (MFD) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
User Support & Training:
Effective communication skills for training and assisting end-users with Pharos Blueprint Enterprise configurations.
Experience creating clear documentation and user guides.
Process Efficiency & Optimization:
Ability to analyze print usage patterns and suggest efficiency improvements.
Skilled at maintaining secure, streamlined printing processes.
Attention to Detail:
Precision in managing print system settings, security logs, and user authentication records.
Desired Skills/Experience
Hands-on experience with Pharos Blueprint Enterprise Secure Print solutions or similar enterprise print security systems.
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Print Server software, authentication protocols, and print workflow security.
Knowledge of Windows Active Directory integration for secure printing.

The proposed salary for this position is:
$110,900—$184,800 USD
