UniFirst First Aid + Safety is seeking a reliable and hardworking Packaging Supervisor to join our community. As a Packaging Supervisor, you will responsible for effectively supervising the activities of the packaging area to meet the production schedules while complying with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and corporate standards of quality as well as health and safety. When working with UniFirst First Aid + Safety we provide a variety of shifts. Our standard is a 5-day work week, enjoy two days off a week. We have an immediate opening and provide on the job training.

What you’ll be doing:
Responsible for on-the-floor support of GMP operations
Maintain work areas and perform job functions safely and efficiently in accordance with company policies and procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) instructions.
Schedule jobs on packaging lines.
Assist machine technicians with setting up and cleaning packaging lines.
Report operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems as they arise
Support the training of Team Partners
Work with Management to address Team Partner concerns, complaints, suggestions, or questions in accordance with the Team Partner Handbook and Company policies and procedures. Maintain morale and enforce discipline fairly.
Manage the production schedule to minimize idle time and optimize manpower, machinery, and materials. Ensure compliance with work standards and control overtime.
Maintain quality standards to meet customer and internal requirements. Drive continuous improvement through training, communication, leadership, and follow-ups with Team Partners.
Ensure a safe work environment throughout the production area by addressing hazards, completing incident reports and associated corrective actions completed in an accurate and timely manner, and enforcing safety protocols, including lockout/tagout.
Coordinate the implementation of any approved process changes, communicate updates to production staff, and ensure proper execution.
Perform other duties as assigned per supervisor/management.
Qualifications
What we’re looking for:
High School education and/or GED equivalent
Must be 18 years of age or older.
5+ years of direct experience in primary packaging of solid dose pharmaceuticals
Good knowledge of cGMP manufacturing.
Basic math skills include fractions and percentages.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to lift and carry up to 60 lbs.
