BAE Systems Telecom Engineer in Fort Meade, Maryland

Job Description

BAE Systems is seeking a Telecom Engineer to support the Department of Defense (DoD) Joint Common Access Platform (JCAP). The successful candidate will serve at the Fort Meade Maryland site. This position is contingent upon award.

Designs, develops, analyzes, models, tests and simulates communications systems, subsystems, and electronic signals for communication networks, data links, digital radio, battle management, and command and control systems such as wide and local area networks, point-to-point systems, secure systems, signal coding and modulation schema, digital and wireless radio/communications technology and network architecture design.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • 8 Years with HS; 6 Years with AA; 5 Years with BS; 2 Years with MS; 0 Years with PhD

  • High degree of organization and communications skills

  • Demonstrated knowledge leading and supporting complex information environments, virtual networks.

  • DoD 8570.01M/ IATI certification within 6 months of assignment to position (A CE, CCNA Security, CND, Network CE, SSCP)

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Master s Degree in a STEM subject, particularly systems engineering, network engineering, or cybersecurity OR associate or bachelor's degree in computer science, or engineering or its equivalent with 15 years' relevant experience

  • Expert knowledge in project management and resource management

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $112420 - $191070

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
