Huffmans is looking for a toolmaker/precision machinist with a high level of experience and knowledge relating to tool and die, precision work, heat treat and more.

Experience/Education/Skillsets Needed:
- Multiple years of experience in tool and die
Job Requirements will include:
- Work safely and follow all HWMI and OSHA safety requirements.
- Tool and Die and Precision Machining
- Produce parts from samples and per print
- Utilize various equipment knowing most efficient way to produce tight tolerance parts via manual lathes, mills, hbms, drills, and precision grinding (surface grinding, cylindrical grinding, blanchard grinding).
- Heat treat parts utilizing in-house heat treat ovens
- Inspection - complete knowledge on hand measuring inspection techniques including calipers, micrometers, gages, indicators, etc.
- Partner with other team members when parts need CNC machined but CNC machining experience not required with this position
- Work with fabricators and other machinists to coordinate work and projects
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs and maneuver up to 100 lbs. without physical restrictions and maneuver material in and out of equipment
- This is a 40 hour per week job with overtime as needed
Other Desirable (Not necessary) Skills include:
- Experience in understanding how mechanical assemblies fit together - fitup, tolerancing, press fit types, precision alignment and more
- CNC Milling, CNC Turning, Jig boring, etc.
