U.S. Army Forces Command Intelligence Specialist (GMI Analyst) in Fort Liberty, North Carolina
Summary About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the HQ US Army Forces Command, OG2 Analyst Division, Fort Liberty, NC 28310 Responsibilities Serves as a Senior Analyst, Analysis Support Division (ASD) and subject matter expert in All Source intelligence, responsible for leading the activities of Intelligence analysts. Provides critical input on All Source intelligence training, systems and force design issues. Provides critical political-military and Intelligence information necessary to make informed decisions concerning deployment of Army forces, force protection and training to counter current threat tactics, techniques and procedures (TTP). Provides long-term planning expertise to identify, analyze, and develop specialized intelligence products to support the Command Campaign Plan and their priorities. Identifies the impacts of new weapons systems and cyber-electromagnetic activities and TTP to deploying CONUS-based or their preparatory training. Maintains contact with high-ranking officials from various government agencies within the Intelligence Community (IC) to justify, demand, negotiate or settle matters involving significant issues impacting the operations. Leads Analysis/Production civilian, military and contract personnel for special projects, tasks and initiatives. In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience and in-depth knowledge of all-source intelligence research and analysis, global threat assessment, and security procedures. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS-12). Progressively responsible experience is that which has included intelligence-related research, analysis, collections and /or operations. This experience should have included intelligence analysis and/or production, intelligence collection and/or operations, counterintelligence, or threat support directly related to the position to be filled. This experience should demonstrate: Knowledge of intelligence processes, cycle and organizations; Knowledge of and/or ability to use research tools such as library holdings, photographs, statistics, graphics and maps; Knowledge of the systems, procedures and methods of analyzing, compiling, reporting and disseminating intelligence data; and/or Knowledge of organization(s) for and methods of collecting and analyzing intelligence data. Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. Direct Deposit of Pay is required. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees. This is a Security & Intelligence Career Field position. Salary includes applicable locality pay or Local Market Supplement. Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government interest. This is a situational/Ad Hoc telework eligible position and it will be determined by the agency, depending upon the terms of the agency's telework policy.
