Army Installation Management Command Sports Assistant NF-02 in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri

Summary This position is located at Morale Welfare and Recreation Fund at Fort Leonard Wood, MO. Responsibilities Supports activities and services of the athletics and intramural sports program. Provides oversight of events and tournaments. Maintains cleanliness and organization of athletic facilities. Ensures adherence to regulations and safety procedures. Monitors condition of, cleans, and performs minor maintenance on athletics equipment. Assists in setting up for special events and sports tournaments. Assists with publicity of events and tournaments and the delivery and placement of posters, flyers, and other promotional material. Provides outstanding customer service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor. Performs other duties as assigned. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the higher-level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: 1. Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of the position. 2. Must be able to obtain a nationally recognized certification in First Aid, CPR, and AED Highly Preferred Qualifications: 1. One year of full-time work experience in the sports and fitness industry. 2. Current nationally recognized certification in First Aid, CPR, and AED. To be rated Highly Preferred you must meet all minimum and highly preferred qualifications. Best Qualified applicants will be sent to management first. PCS Costs Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest. Pay-Band (NF or CY) Allowances and Differentials This is a pay-banded position. Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. When authorized, night differential will be paid at the rate of 10% basic rate for hours of non-overtime work performed between 1800-0600.
