Job Summary:

The Digital Product Owner is responsible for building, developing, and managing Digital product roadmaps. This role is tasked with understanding and executing the strategic direction of our eCommerce platform for our B2B experience (pro.westmarine.com) – ensuring the product vision, objectives and key results are met and in so enabling a best-in-class user experience we are committed to delivering.

You will partner with Technology, Marketing, Sales, Merchandising, Customer Experience, and senior business stakeholders to align on a product plan that meets our vision and prioritizes value for our customers. She or he will need to be able to influence and inspire others and will often present recommendations to peers, business unit leaders and senior leaders.

Position Summary

  • Set the digital product strategy including product vision, objectives, and key results for the retail experience.

  • Lead cross-functional teams to execute on roadmap.

  • Working with key business units, define and deliver on the product roadmap by prioritizing feature requirements and user stories into an agile backlog.

  • Partner with Technology team to manage future requests and updates using Agile methodologies.

  • Uncover insights and opportunities using data, primary and secondary research, market analysis, user feedback and technology trends.

  • Advise key stakeholders in Technology, Marketing, Sales, Merchandising, Customer Experience Executive Management on strategies to meet corporate objectives using marketing technology.

  • Support deployment of new technology adoption across the enterprise.

  • Prepare compelling presentations, to communicate progress, complex concepts, and other key updates to diverse audiences, including senior leadership.

  • Provide leadership in influencing internal processes.

  • Ensure monitoring tools are implemented on relevant systems.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Applicable Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Minimum education required/preferred, area of study:

  • Vocational qualification or bachelor’s degree in technology, Business, Marketing, or related field

Minimum years of relevant experience required:

  • Minimum of 4+ years of in-depth business experience in managing software related projects/products from initiation through closure within IT environments.

Additional skills/knowledge required include:

  • Experience managing products under an Agile Framework.

  • Experience with a variety of IT products, including business facing and backend applications for a variety of functional areas (e.g. Salesforce Commerce Cloud, JIRA/Confluence, Smartsheets, Adobe/Google Analytics. Fullstory, Figma/Invision, Basecamp, Optimizely/VWO).

Preferred experience, certification(s), skill(s), if applicable:

  • Certification as an agile product owner (Certified SCRUM Product Owner - CSPO) or product manager SAFe® 4.6 Product Owner / Product Manager - POPM is a plus.
