Description We are looking for an experienced Audit Manager to join our team in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on a long-term contract basis. This role will focus on overseeing audit processes related to grant funding and compliance, particularly within a non-profit environment. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in single audits and a thorough understanding of government programs.
Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage single audits, ensuring compliance with non-profit regulations and standards.
• Utilize accounting software systems to streamline audit processes and generate accurate reports.
• Develop and implement audit programs and plans tailored to grant funding requirements.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external support groups to address system functionality challenges.
• Analyze financial data and ensure adherence to government auditing standards.
• Provide recommendations for improving budget processes and accounting functions.
• Coordinate audit engagements with relevant government agencies and stakeholders.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of existing audit practices, making necessary adjustments.
• Ensure timely completion of audit cycles and proper documentation of findings.
• Support the organization in meeting grant compliance requirements and optimizing audit efficiency. Requirements • Proven experience with single audits, preferably within the non-profit sector.
• Strong knowledge of government auditing standards and grant funding processes.
• Proficiency in accounting software systems and audit-related tools.
• Ability to develop comprehensive audit plans and programs.
• Familiarity with budget processes and accounting functions.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
