Vertex Aerospace Software Functional Analyst in Fort Gregg Adams, Virginia

V2X has an exciting opportunity for a Functional Analyst /Helpdesk Tier 2 Specialist. The candidate will provide support to United States Army web-based application end-users in the field to include: troubleshooting and resolving user’s issues, performing ticket incident documentation, executing work orders with detailed break-fix steps, and ensuring resolution in ticket tracking system to include quality assurance checks of assigned tickets. The Functional/Helpdesk Tier 2 Specialist shall provide advanced service support & service delivery functions.

The desired candidate is a self-starter, able to operate with minimal supervision.Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Determine if problems are system generated issue or customer generated issue

  • Interact with Data Base Administrators (DBAs) as required

  • Utilize help desk Virtual Call Center (VCC)

  • Utilize Service Now (SNOW) for tracking incidents

  • Provide assistance to the developers on improving processes within the system

  • Assist testers with addressing Test Control Records (TCRs)

  • Assist technical writers with documenting various system processes

  • Write reports for new problems encountered not covered by current change requests (CR)

  • Monitor DBA monthly error reports for information relating to assigned tickets

  • Keep customer informed on performance trends and changes in policy requirements

Required Qualifications/Skills:

  • Experience in performing Army logistics and Transportation management functions in an automated logistics management environment

  • Experience and knowledge of life cycle support requirements, logistics management principles, concepts, policies, regulations, military support programs

  • Experience with RFID/AIT barcoding related to an Automated Logistics system

  • Experience with ARMY transportation requirements and policies

  • Experience with Help desk environment

  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills

  • Effective documenting helpdesk incidents, managing escalation, and making recommendations

  • Possess a thorough knowledge of material and personnel movement procedures and Army ammunition regulatory knowledge

  • Demonstrated understanding and knowledge of munitions management

  • Interaction with customers on a Tier 1 and Tier 2 level

  • Experience in applying analysis and resolution of complex transportation related issues

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)

Desired Qualifications/Skills:

  • Experience using II Standard Army Ammunition System (SAAS) to track logistics of ammunition

  • Experience with Service Now software

  • Must be organized and able to prioritize task efforts

  • S. Army coordination and tracking of material and equipment experience

Education Requirements:

  • Applicants must have a minimum 4 years of experience with a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts Degree
