Insight Global Secret Network Engineer in Fort George G Meade, Maryland
Job Description
Insight Global is looking to hire Cleared Network Design and Test Engineers to support a defense contract in Fort Meade, MD. This candidate would be joining a team responsible for the network and media project support in the lab spaces of the defense customer. Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Upgrade and troubleshoot Cisco and Juniper routers, switches, and other equipment
Evaluate the existing local network and provide recommendations, plans, and designs to enhance network and telecommunication systems.
Receive requests from the Network Designers to develop test cases and explore how to integrate the new technologies into the environment.
Assess and execute test cases, test plans, test reports and implementation plans.
Collaborate with other technical personnel and stakeholders to analyze solutions, provide updates, and create documentation.
Assist Tier 2 in escalated requests

Skills and Requirements
Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of technical experience in Network Engineering
Ability to provide hardware support to Cisco and Juniper routers and switches in a lab based environment
Understanding of Network Designing to integrate new technologies into the environment
Knowledge in routing protocols including BGP, MPLS, and OSPF
Clearance: Interim Secret (Minimum) and can cage up to Top Secret
Certifications: IAT Level 2 (CompTIA SEC+ preferred) null
