This is a 3rd shift position (10pm - 6am).
Maintenance I is responsible for ensuring that manufacturing equipment and facilities operate efficiently and safely. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining equipment to minimize downtime and maximize production efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical and electrical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot effectively.
Equipment Maintenance:
Perform routine preventative maintenance on production machinery and systems to ensure optimal performance.
Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems as needed.
Electrical Work:
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including bending and running electrical conduit accurately and efficiently.
Work safely around electrical cabinets with voltages up to 480 volts, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
Troubleshoot electrical systems, wiring, and components to ensure safe and reliable operations.
Downtime Minimization:
Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
Identify root causes of recurring issues and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
Document all maintenance tasks performed and any issues identified during inspections.
Compliance & Safety:
Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations during maintenance tasks.
Ensure that all equipment is operating in compliance with quality and safety standards.
Collaboration:
Work closely with production teams to schedule maintenance activities without disrupting operations.
Coordinate with external vendors for specialized repairs or equipment upgrades as needed.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities to improve equipment performance and reliability.
Recommend and assist with implementing upgrades or new technologies to enhance production efficiency.
High school diploma or GED; a technical certificate or associate degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance is preferred.
3+ years of experience in maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Ability to bend and run electrical conduit accurately and efficiently.
Experience working safely around electrical cabinets with voltages up to 480 volts.
Proficient with hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and maintenance software.
Familiarity with PLCs, automation systems, and industrial robotics is a plus.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Comfortable working in varying environmental conditions, including hot, cold, and noisy environments.
Ability to lift and carry up to [25 lbs.] and perform physical tasks such as bending, standing, and walking for extended periods.
