ManpowerGroup Network Engineer in Folsom, California

Job Title: IT Network Engineer

Location: Folson, CA

Role Overview: As an IT Network Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the operational health and reliability of our data communications systems. Working closely with various teams and functional areas, you will develop and improve business processes, prioritize and manage multiple projects, and collaborate with engineering groups to optimize processes and align the network for improved performance. You will also work with global network teams to incorporate industry standards and best practices into our network builds.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with various teams and functional areas to develop and improve business processes.

  • Develop process improvement strategies across the network to optimize performance and reliability.

  • Prioritize and manage multiple projects based on department and corporate objectives.

  • Lead and collaborate with engineering groups to optimize current processes and align the network for improved performance.

  • Work with the process integration team to implement and integrate new/improved process workflows.

  • Maintain documentation for new and improved processes.

  • Communicate project strategy, status, and actions through meetings, presentations, and reports to team members and management.

  • Monitor process stability through ongoing review of performance metrics.

  • Operate and maintain the company's internal data communications systems, including local and wide-area network solutions.

  • Support/troubleshoot network issues and coordinate with vendors for installation of routers, switches, and other network equipment.

  • Conduct project planning, cost analysis, and vendor comparisons.

  • Provide training and assistance with proposal writing.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.

  • Experience in LAN/WAN, Wireless, and Telecommunications hardware, software, and cabling.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

  • Experience with IP and VOIP protocols.

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.

  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in network engineering.
