Intel IT Product Owner - Demand Forecasting and Planning in Folsom, California

Job Description

The Demand forecasting and planning solution delivery group within SCIT : SCP ( Supply Chain IT - Supply Chain Planning ) portfolio in Intel IT is responsible for providing business solutions to increase the efficacy and efficiency of Intel's planning processes, including product roadmap, demand, supply, inventory, sales/revenue, financial, capital, and pricing planning. Our primary focus is transforming Demand forecasting and planning processes using Enterprise Planning software platform and covers the areas of short-term planning (execution horizon), mid-range planning, Long Range Planning (LRP) and New Product Introduction (NPI). Process transformation also includes leveraging unified set of master data and common data hub. This team is also responsible for sustaining demand forecasting and planning solution which enables one of the top 25 global supply chains (Gartner 2023).

The primary domain area for this role will be to enable and transform Demand Planning solution for our foundry group. In this role you will be working with business stakeholders from multiple domains. Key partners for this role included business operations team, Finance, Supply Chain, and peer IT teams (Supply Chain, Data and Analytics).

The ideal candidate will be inquisitive, motivated, and have a strong affinity for problem-solving using a combination of business process knowledge, business acumen, and the skills to enable process transformation by leveraging technology.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Translates business strategy and objectives into process roadmaps

  • Validates feasibility of an idea, understands the user expectations from the product, conducts design due diligence, evaluates business value and risks

  • Leads the transformational effort to re-platform current business reference data (BRD) solution to new architecture and platform, as part of transformation programs. Must establish standardization and governance processes

  • Work with stakeholders to define, prioritize, deploy, sustain, enhance, and when needed sunset process capabilities

  • Manage Business Units acceptance/expectations through all these phases

  • Convenes user acceptance testing and leads TCM where applicable

  • Deliver data analytics and business intelligence solutions to augment the effectiveness of demand planning and forecasting processes

  • Accountable to the Intel Business Units for the overall delivery of IT services

  • Ensure alignment of transformation with relevant enterprise level initiatives

  • Gathers business requirements from business stakeholders across Business Units, regions, and Finance

  • Maintains/Builds stakeholder relationships and effectively communicate across teams

  • Keeps abreast with the latest process trends in forecasting and planning processes

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications

The candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or other Engineering related field and 6+ years of experience -OR- a Master's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or other Engineering related field and 4+ years of experience -OR- a PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or other Engineering related field and 2+ years of experience in:

  • Demand Forecasting and Demand Planning

  • Sales Forecasting, Statistical forecasting, system-driven disaggregation, Sales and Operations Planning

  • Process transformation experience within a larger program

  • Requirements gathering, systems/business analysis, process mapping, solution acceptance testing and deployment

  • Designing and deploying solutions using enterprise planning software solutions such as SAP IBP, Blue Yonder, JDA DM, i2, Kinaxis, SAP BPC, Anaplan, Demantra, SAP APO or equivalent

  • Troubleshooting skills to find root-cause and recommend and apply solutions

  • Product backlog, feature definition, requirements analysis, functional design/specifications, solution delivery, testing, user training, TCM (transition change management)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Agile development methodology

  • Demand/Supply planning in Semiconductor industry or high-tech industry. Experience with Foundry planning processes will be an advantage.

  • Experience with Supply Chain analytics enabled using software solutions such as Tableau or Power BI

  • Experience with statistical or AI/Ml algorithms will be a plus

  • Implementation experience in Semiconductor Manufacturing / High Tech Industry will be an added advantage

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, California: $116,819.00-$175,333.00

*Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
