Client Service Representative

We are seeking an experienced Client Service Representative to join our team.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Willing to work long, irregular hours including evenings and Saturdays.

  • Ability to walk, bend, stand and reach constantly during a minimum 8-hour day.

  • Accurately maintain medical & financial records

  • Honesty, Integrity, and a positive attitude

  • Good computer knowledge

Education/Experience

  • High School Diploma

  • 2+ years in client service related field

  • 1+ Veterinary Hospital / Animal Healthcare experience preferred (willing to train the right candidate)

Why We Need You

As the face of VCA, the Client Service Representative sets the tone for the practice as we build and maintain each customer's trust and confidence in our abilities. The CSR is the pivot around which the hospital operates and is responsible for:

• Customer service functions, including: greeting visitors, answering telephones, and guiding clients and their pets to exam rooms.

• Scheduling and confirming appointments.

• Placing outbound calls for follow-ups and reaching out to prospective clients.

• Presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments.

• Recommending, selecting, and obtaining products and services, including prescriptions.

• Answering questions regarding products and services, including educating clients on general animal husbandry and non-medical pet care (i.e., heartworm prevention, housebreaking, and flea & tick control).

• Managing medical records, charts, reports and correspondence.

• Hospital maintenance (including removal of animal waste) and ensuring that facility is neat and clean at all times—both inside and outside.

Salary

$15.00/hr - $17.00/hr (but depends on experience)

Our Hours of Operation

Monday through Friday 7:00am - 7:00pm

Saturday: 8:00am - 3:00pm

Sundays: Closed

Anticipated Work Schedule

  • The ideal candidate would have open availability with scheduling.

  • Candidate MUST be available to close (12pm-close) at least 2 days Monday - Friday.

  • Preference will be given to any qualified applicant interested in evening only schedules.

  • Opening Shifts 6:45am - 5:00pm (with a 1 hour lunch available)

  • Closing Shifts 12:00pm - close (with a 1 hour lunch available)

  • Saturdays REQUIRED 7:45am - close.

  • Ideal candidate would have a team player mentality and be willing to cross train in every department of the hospital (including animal care attendant)

  • Ideal candidate would be available on Sundays for kennel.

VCA Angel Animal Hospital is an elite Veterinary Practice in Flower Mound, TX. We are proud to have cutting-edge technology, including one of the few (if only) rehabilitative services offered to pets in DFW. We are primarily a small animal clinic, treating canine and feline patients, but are also proud to treat some small mammalian exotics (ferrets, rabbits, hedgehogs, etc). We pride ourselves in the high level of client service that we can deliver to our clients daily. We combine our superior client service and personal attention with compassionate and high quality veterinary medicine. We have a large 6 doctor veterinary practice and operate on extended business hours. We have a full luxury boarding facility in which we have the capability of housing pets 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
