Serve as the right-hand to the EVP, Head of Operations, overseeing operational performance spanning all regions and asset classes including Multifamily, Retail, Commercial, and Hospitality. This pivotal role entails a blend of financial acumen, data analysis expertise, and an unwavering commitment to operational excellence.

    ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

    We are seeking a dynamic VP of Operations to drive efficiency, productivity, and profitability across our regions. In this pivotal role, you'll be instrumental in pinpointing and capitalizing on opportunities to enhance the performance of all our assets. You will be collaborating with regional leaders to craft and implement strategies aimed at driving success. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing operational strategies to maximize the performance and profitability of our real estate portfolio.

  • Overseeing property management activities, including resident relations, lease administration, maintenance, and property capital projects.

  • Collaborating with acquisition and development teams to evaluate potential real estate investments and provide operational insights.

  • Establishing and maintaining key performance indicators to track and measure the success of our real estate operations. Making adjustments and evolving as the portfolio requires.

  • Providing solutions to routine and complex problems.

  • Assisting in financial performance reviews of individual markets, analyzing billing reports, workforce utilization, client accounting, and employee allocation tracking.

  • Collaborating with Regional Leaders to develop and implement improvement plans for underperforming assets, fostering accountability and transparency within markets.

  • Supporting preparation and follow-up tasks for budget calls and business development meetings.

  • Serving as the primary point of escalation for operational challenges faced by Regional Operations market leaders.

  • Undertaking additional duties as required or requested, with the autonomy to determine methods and strategies for achieving goals.

  • Coordinating project teams to ensure timely completion of tasks and providing solutions to both routine and complex problems.

    REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelors’ degree preferred.

  • Requires minimum of five years' previous experience in multi-site property management in various asset classes including Multifamily, Retail, Commercial, and Hospitality

  • Requires ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, supervisors, clients, customers, and the general public.

  • Requires a valid driver’s license and valid car insurance, as required by the state in which employed. Real estate license (where required by the state).

  • Requires the ability to accurately perform advanced business mathematical functions such as calculation of percentage and ratios.

  • Requires strong administrative and organizational skills.

  • Requires strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize wisely.

  • Requires good understanding of sales and marketing concepts and the ability to develop, implement and evaluate market plans.

  • Requires knowledge of on-site maintenance requirements including dealing with vendors and contractors.

  • Requires experience in the execution of capital projects.

  • Requires high level of self-control under difficult or emergency situations.

  • Yardi and/or other management software knowledge highly preferred.

  • High Proficiency in using Microsoft Office apps including; Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote & OneDrive/SharePoint.

  • Experience with collaboration apps including Teams, Zoom & WebEx.

  • Experience with Apple iOS devices.

  • Ability to walk up 3 flights of stairs, multiple times a day, 5,000 steps/day including in inclement weather.
