Olsten Staffing is assisting a well-established company in the Florence SC area in the search for an experienced and eager Steel Detailer . The Steel Detailer will play a key role in the design and development of steel structures, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to industry standards. You will work closely with engineers, architects, and project managers to create detailed drawings and plans for fabrication and construction. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with a passion for steel detailing to contribute to our projects and make a meaningful impact on our success.
Hours:
Monday-Friday
8AM-5PM
Pay rate:
$15 an hour
Responsibilities:
Interpret architectural and engineering drawings to create detailed shop drawings and fabrication plans for steel structures.
Use computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD or Tekla Structures, to generate accurate 2D and 3D models of steel components and assemblies.
Coordinate with engineers, architects, and project managers to review design specifications, resolve design conflicts, and ensure compliance with project requirements.
Perform calculations and analysis to determine material quantities, dimensions, and connections for structural steel components.
Generate bills of materials (BOMs) and material take-offs to support procurement and fabrication processes.
Review and incorporate revisions and change orders into existing drawings and plans as needed.
Collaborate with production teams and fabricators to ensure seamless execution of design plans and resolve any fabrication issues.
Conduct quality checks and inspections of completed drawings to verify accuracy, completeness, and adherence to standards.
Stay abreast of industry trends, codes, and regulations related to steel detailing and fabrication.
Qualifications:
• MUST have 1+ years previous experience utilizing 3D modeling programs ( Tekla, SDS/2, SolidWorks, etc. )
• MUST be reliable and eager!
• MUST be computer savy!

Pay Details: $15.00 per hour
