General Description\ Under the direction of the Operations Manager - Special Programs, oversee the dental clinic operations for North Country HealthCare. Responsible for management and supervision of all dental operations to include training of personnel, coordination of clinical staff, health, education, clinical-related regulatory compliance, and development and implementation of new services and programs. Works to develop internal and external relations to enhance patient care, dental services, and an integrated dental model with medical services.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide training, direction and support to clinic managers in all dental aspects. Oversees the daily operations of the facility and its personnel, ensuring ongoing compliance with organizational policies, procedures, standards, and applicable state/federal regulations.
  • Fosters a culture of teamwork, inclusiveness and continual improvement throughout the clinic.
  • Responsible for coordination of compliance with state and federal agencies as they apply to dental care. Perform quarterly or as needed on-site mock inspections to ensure compliance from each compliancy agency.
  • Serve as the first contact for clinic managers regarding dental services. Work to create unity and give support to clinics by helping them feel a greater connection with the executive and leadership teams and dental department.
  • Coordinate with the Dental Director to implement the initiatives, policies, procedures, and protocols of the dental department. Work with Operations Managers to hold clinic managers accountable for dental services and responsible to adhere to those policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to the training and proficiencies of assigned personnel.
  • Encourages and supports company outreach programs.
  • Promotes a high level of customer service to our patients.
  • Cultivates communication between front and back office operations to identify and implement processes for improvement .Plan, direct, manage, and evaluate staff and operations within dental clinics and dental department.
  • Provide feedback to Operations Managers on dental engagement and response of clinic manager to dental needs. Provide leadership and direct oversight for dental requirements for clinic managers to promote the efficient use of staff, resources and dental supplies and encourage opportunities to decrease operational costs and increase revenue.
  • Participate in the establishment of strategic planning, resource allocation, operational plans and policies for dental services.
  • Provide clinical services and participate in clinician required activities including clinician meetings, chart audits, and clinical initiatives as assigned by the Dental Director.
  • Interact with outside organizations and community organizations to develop community relationships that promote dental services.
  • Design, encourage, support and inspire staff in the pursuit and development of new ideas and ways of improving dental services and methods to include integration with medical practices.
  • Accountable for direct oversight of all sliding fee scale processes to include training, daily review of compliance, and the annual passing of the external audit.
  • Oversight of employees\' schedules to ensure appropriate coverage during hours of operation and coordinate the training of personnel to efficiently fulfill their responsibilities.
  • Responsible for the development and oversight of the department budget, to include supervision of medical/office supply procurement. Collaboration with clinic managers for the development and oversight of the dental portion of budgeting for those clinic locations where dental services are provided.
  • Responsible for the oversight of coding and submission of all invoices.
  • Responsible for timely bank deposits and cash handling accountability per the financial department policy and procedure.
  • Perform related work as required, including: hiring, interviewing, reviews, and processing paperwork with regards to job changes, payroll notification and staff discipline and terminations.

\ Education\ Bachelor\'s Degree in Dental Hygiene (or related field) Required\ Master\'s Degree in Business, Project Management, Health Administration, Public Health Preferred

Experience\ 5+ Years Related Experience and/or Training as DA/Dental Hygienist/Clinic Manager Required\ 5 Years Related Management Experience Required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.

Ability to quickly build rapport, trust, and credibility with team members.

Ability to communicate effectively and interact with diverse personalities while maintaining a professional attitude.

Familiarity with Arizona Department of Health regulations for Outpatient Treatment Centers

Proven effective management skills.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related
