SUMMARY:Supports all aspects of accounts payable, ensuring that all deadlines are met with the highest degree of accuracy
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manages and prepares accurate and timely processing of monthly accounts payable expenditures including but not limited to document review, vendor set-up and maintenance, and check generation and distribution
- Ensures that adequate internal controls are communicated and adhered to in all accounts payable processes
- Reviews, analyzes, modifies, and implements efficient and effective accounts payable processes, policies, and procedures
- Prepares and presents accounts payable reports as required
- Reviews, analyzes, and implements technological changes to enhance performance and customer requirements
- Identifies problem areas and takes corrective actions
- Interfaces with appropriate departments to secure proper payment approvals
- Oversees maintenance of accounts payable files and records
- Responds to all vendor and employee inquiries regarding invoices, expenses, and check requests; resolves invoice discrepancies
- Reviews and reconciles periodic reports to maintain current reconciliation status for cash and disbursement accounts
- Assists with related special projects as required
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management
