Would take carpenters coming from residential work

We are looking for a skilled carpenter to join our team, specializing in hanging commercial drywall, creating layouts for construction using hand and power tools, and reading and interpreting blueprints. The ideal candidate will measure, cut, and shape wood materials, assemble and join structural components, build scaffolding and use ladders, ensure proper positioning and alignment of structures, and construct various wood fixtures, including stairs, tables, cabinets, and racks. Responsibilities also include installing preconstruction materials and structures, operating saws, nail guns, sanders, and performing finish carpentry such as installing wood trim, casework, cabinets, and countertops.

Responsibilities

• Hang commercial drywall

• Create construction layouts using hand and power tools

• Read and interpret blueprints

• Build scaffolding and use ladders

• Ensure proper positioning and alignment of structures

• Construct stairs, tables, cabinets, racks, and various wood fixtures

• Install preconstruction materials and structures

• Operate saws, nail guns, sanders

• Perform finish carpentry including installing wood trim, casework, cabinets, and countertops

Essential Skills

• 3+ years of experience in hanging drywall and putting up framing

• Experience in residential or commercial construction

• Proficiency with tools such as banjo or bazooka for taping drywall

• Skills in rough framing, finish carpentry, and cabinetry

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $29.00/hr.
