Chemco, Inc Production Supervisor in Ferndale, Washington

We are looking for a responsible Production Supervisor to oversee the workflow at our facility. The role is a complex one. He/She/They will not just be someone who supervises the work of others. A supervisor is also responsible for coaching, resolving issues and serving as a link between subordinates and upper management.

The ideal candidate will be a competent individual who will be able to guide and train employees. He/She/They will be well-versed in processes under the role's responsibility and will be results-driven and focused.

The goal is to ensure that operations are carried out productively to ensure profitability and sustainable growth.

 Setting goals for performance and deadlines in ways that comply with company's plans and vision.

 Organizing workflow and ensuring that employees understand their duties or delegated tasks.

Monitoring employee productivity, providing constructive feedback, and coaching.

This is a Mon-Fri position and may require some Saturdays. The position requires a lot of outdoor time and leading our manufacturing team on daily scheduling and routines.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Organizing production orders to ensure timely completion.
  • Making adjustments to ensure production efficiency.
  • Willingness to solve situations and develop current leadership roles.
  • Report to Production Manager and General Manager and submit daily reports.
  • Track and record projects/tasks
  • Maintain and enforce company policies and ensure health & safety procedures that are relevant to our industry.
  • Maintain line of communication between upper management and employees
  • Managing workflow.
  • Training new hires.
  • Creating and managing team schedules.
  • Reporting to HR and senior management.
  • Evaluating performance and providing feedback.
  • Identifying and applying career advancement opportunities.
  • Asist to resolve employee issues and disputes.

Skills/Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Great at following directions and taking initiative.

**Work Environment:

This position requires a lot of outdoor time with exposure to moderate to loud noise levels, wood dust debris, and variety of weather conditions. Must be able to sit/stand for 8 hours per day and lift minimum of 50lbs**

Schedule:

  • 8-9 -hour day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Overtime as needed.

Experience:

  • Basic knowledge of wood products
  • Supervisor experience (preferred)
  • Warehouse, inventory experience (plus)
