Finance Project Coordinator
Job Description
This position involves working in Excel to input and update information for outstanding projects. The role requires effective communication with individuals from multiple regions and demands strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and intentional communication. The Coordinator will provide accounting support to project managers from project inception to completion.
Responsibilities
Prepare accurate monthly billing packets, including all necessary supporting documents based on customer requirements, terms, and conditions, and contract provisions.
Submit packets to customers by the specified due dates, upload them into relevant portals as needed, and post to the ERP system.
Maintain and update the ERP system with budgets, contracts, billing, and project information as directed by project managers.
Manage compliance items such as Project Insurance Certificates, enrollment in proper Wrap-Up Insurance Programs (when applicable), bonds, Project Preliminary Notices, and UCC Filings.
Assist in resolving customer billing disputes and compliance issues.
Cultivate strong and cooperative working relationships with internal and external customers that reflect and support the Company’s core values and meet or exceed customer expectations.
Consistently make decisions attentively and safely to ensure the health and safety of self and others.
Utilize LEAN concepts or other continuous improvement methodologies to ensure the most efficient operations, processes, and activities.
Promote and model the Company mission, vision, and values through sound and ethical business practices, championing all elements of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), and providing high-quality services and programs to clients, subcontractors, co-workers, suppliers, and the public.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in accounting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
Strong skills in Excel.
Excellent attention to detail and communication abilities.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent.
Associate degree or equivalent work experience in business administration, accounting, or a related field is preferred.
Minimum of 2+ years of work experience in accounting, business management, or the construction industry.
Experience and proficiency with database, spreadsheet, accounting, and billing software and systems.
Expertise in Microsoft Office software applications, specifically Excel.
Understanding of basic accounts receivable practices and principles.
Strong analytical and mathematical skills, with the ability to read and understand financial documents.
Effective collaboration, organizational, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
Strong initiative, prioritization, and customer service skills.
High detail orientation and strong problem-solving skills.
High level of integrity and dependability.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Work Environment
This role operates in a corporate headquarters cubicle environment with a hybrid schedule of 3 days in the office and 2 days remote after the initial few weeks. The working hours are from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Collaboration and communication with remote team members are essential.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
