Aston Carter HR Generalist in Fenton, Missouri
Description
Reporting to the HR Business Partner for Corporate, this role will be expected to provide professional HR guidance and support to the corporate business units. The HR Generalist will need to initiate and successfully manage efforts for recruitment, training & development, performance management, organization planning, and
company social programs through administration and execution of HR programs including, but not limited to payroll, benefits, onboarding/offboarding, leave administration, employee relations, and so on. The HR Generalist will ensure projects are completed in a timely manner, manage resources (internal/external) effectively, and support the business by liaising with the individual departments to understand their objectives, propose solutions and define HR projects to implement those solutions.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Collaborate with the HRBP to deliver training in accordance with the defined training program, including corporate programs, certifications, skills development, and compliance requirements and regulations.
• Investigate and manage employee concerns, identifying trends and themes, and providing recommendations to resolve employee issues.
• Provide support to cyclical HR processes including performance reviews, compensation, benefits enrollment, and STIP administration.
• Administers, plans and implements assigned Human Resource programs, services and related activities (i.e. – learning/training & development, onboarding, social programs, rewards/recognition, engagement initiatives, etc). Develops and recommends program goals and objectives that are in alignment with the business goals and objectives; develops and implements work plans.
• Enforces policies by ensuring required standards are being met and consistency applied, reports information and counsels managers, supervisors and employees.
• Support organizational planning based on business needs.
• Processing and review of human resources information for new hires, terminations, position and wage changes, and other PHI requirements.
• Collaborate with management to build leadership capabilities to deliver coaching and disciplinary action according to established processes. Partner on documentation of discipline and development/execution of Performance Improvement Plans, as needed.
• Support the business in compiling termination documentation, attend termination meeting and complete exit interview.
• Develops and maintains HR files to comply with state, federal and corporate requirements. Ensures records are well organized, documented, and maintained on Teams.
• Prepares and maintains assigned program policies, manuals, handbooks and procedures; revises and recommends improvements as necessary. Ensures compliance with federal and state regulations by understanding existing laws and rules, interpreting standards, enforcing adherence and advising management on needed actions.
• Provides employee relations support and conducts investigations as needed; prepares all required documentation and ensures all employee matters are handled with consistency and fairness without discrimination; Maintains confidentiality and sensitivity to all issues; Crafts resolution strategies and provides consultation and coaching when needed.
• Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
• Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Qualifications
Required
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or related field
• 3+ years’ Human Resources management experience (including talent sourcing, recruiting, employee relations, compensation, and benefits administration)
• Proficient experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
Preferred
• Masters’ Degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, or Business Administration and/or PHR/SHRM-CP preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.25 - $40.00/hr.
