Job Overview:

McDermott is executing a LNG FEED for new plant in the UAE. The role is based in McDermott’s office in Feltham, UK on a hybrid working pattern.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Provides direction and coordinates the Engineering and Design Leads on a project

• Responsible for the execution of engineering deliverables including the engineering schedule, budget, document controls and manpower staffing

• Proactively manages change

• Establishes project procedures to ensure deliverables meet client and established engineering and project requirements

• Identifies problems and coordinates with the engineering team to correct

• Maintains and promotes a focus on company’s end product whether engineering, fabrication or construction

• Ensures effective communications among other engineering disciplines

• Ensures effective management of change

• Assumes responsibility for cost, schedule, quantity and budget control for a given scope

• Reviews work with client, management and project leads

Essential Qualifications and Education:

• Demonstrable experience in similar Project Engineering / leadership roles

• Strong in contract interpretation and Management of Change

• Good working knowledge of discipline design techniques, analysis methods, and general workflow. General knowledge of the theory, content and application of statutory codes and guidelines

• Familiar with international engineering codes & standards

• Demonstrates a broad technical knowledge of detail design engineering processes and is able to effectively communicate with and lead engineers and non-engineers

• Ability to communicate effectively with remote engineering team members (locally and internationally).

• Engineering degree

Preferred Qualifications and Education:

• Professional engineer certificate of registration (UK Chartered Engineer or equivalent).

• Typically has 10-15 years’ or more of relevant work experience. Less experience may be acceptable for the right candidate
