Kennedy Jenks is seeking a passionate and dedicated Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our growing team on the West coast! This position can be based out of one of our many California, Oregon or Washington locations. This position will play a pivotal role in the organization's growth by supporting full cycle recruiting including candidate sourcing, screening, and processing through workflows in the applicant tracking system (ATS). This role will collaborate with hiring managers and other HR team members on a daily basis, and have the opportunity to research, develop, and implement effective recruiting strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for the organization. Key Responsibilities: Manage the candidate journey; ensure a positive candidate experience from initial application to their first day on the job. Strategic collaboration; Partner with hiring managers to understand their hiring needs and identify the right talent, maintaining proactive communication throughout the process. Talent sourcing; review a high volume of resumes and conduct phone screens to evaluate candidates for various roles including engineering, scientific and business support. Utilize various methods to identify talent including employee referrals, online applications, LinkedIn, online job boards, in person networking and professional organizations. ATS Management; Maintain the Applicant Tracking System by creating and monitoring job postings, managing candidate documentation and coordinating interviews and background checks. Career Fairs; assist with university recruiting efforts, including attending career fairs on occasion. Process improvement; contribute to the development and updating of job descriptions and specifications, job posting methods, sourcing, internal processes and more. Participate in driving operational and process efficiency and continuous improvement through workflow automations and optimization. Relationship management; act as a point of contact for both candidates and hiring managers. Build lasting relationships that foster future connections and referrals. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree preferred but not required. Relevant experience will be considered in lieu of education. 2+ years of talent acquisition, sourcing or recruiting experience required. Experience in civil or environmental engineering or scientific recruiting is desirable. Demonstrated understanding of recruiting procedures, technology and best practices Hands on candidate selection experience including conducting phone interviews, reference checks and background checks. Excellent written and verbal communication with ability to build rapport and with candidates as well as hiring managers. Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations related to Affirmative Action, EEO policies, and hiring practices. Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks an
