DESCRIPTION OF WORK In this position, you will perform semi-skilled and skilled work in several trades, both indoors and outdoors, to keep the buildings and grounds safe for residents, staff, and visitors. You will utilize your skills in the carpentry, plumbing, painting, masonry, and electrical trades to perform tasks in the daily upkeep and long-term maintenance of the facility. Your duties will include repairing doors and furniture; installing and repairing roofs, flashing, and gutters; preparing and painting interior and exterior surfaces; installing and repairing various plumbing and electrical fixtures; maintaining heating and cooling systems; performing masonry work; mowing grass and removing snow; and fabricating frames as well as hanging drywall.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Travel and overtime as needed. This may change based on operational need. This position is considered essential during weather and other emergency events. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1;or Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades;or Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities. Special Requirements: You must be in possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License. Other Requirements: You must meet the PA residency requirement. Legal Requirements: A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination. This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
