Town of Farmville Account Clerk II in FARMVILLE, Virginia

The Town of Farmville is seeking a qualified Account Clerk II to join our Finance Department. The Account Clerk II performs responsible accounting work involving the preparation and maintenance of specialized accounts and records.

An employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all of the following essential duties:

Payroll processing

Reconciliation of accounts

Preparation of utility, tax, and other billing.

Conducting ACH transactions.

Process work orders.

Bill, maintain and balance miscellaneous accounts payable and receivable.

Maintain appropriate files for all functions conducted in the Finance Office.

Operate typewriter, calculator, computer, and other standard office equipment.

Receive and reply to internal and external requests concerning general services administered by the Finance Office.

Perform other incidental clerical and accounting work in connection with accounts.

The hiring range for this position is $43,978 -$59,000 annually dependent upon qualifications.
