Robert Bosch LLC seeks Vehicle Systems Engineer at its facility located at 38000 Hills Tech Dr, Farmington Hills, MI 48331. Responsible for defining the requirements at vehicle level and vehicle motion systems (electric powertrain, brake, and driver assistance) for various vehicle classes. Collaborate with the design team to define, develop, implement, and validate effective vehicle systems solutions. Lead and collaborate vehicle development activities with customers, suppliers, as well as Bosch internal divisions and functional groups. Perform requirements engineering at vehicle and system level (interface to stakeholder, bridge across all domains, in collaboration with component- and feature-owners). Perform analysis and synthesis of vehicle features to derive requirements on vehicle and system level. Collaborate with vehicle simulation team to explore solution space and perform trade-off studies. Participate in all phases of vehicle development (idea, vehicle definition, vehicle concept, vehicle implementation, vehicle validation, vehicle release). Coordinate the implementation of the vehicle concept with consideration for all internal, external, and legal requirements. Coordinate with interdisciplinary project teams. Present results and report progress to internal and external customers, stakeholders, and auditors. REQS: This position requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field plus 3 years of experience as a Controls Engineer, Calibration Engineer, Test Coordinator/Leader, or other occupation involving the automotive or transportation industry. Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with: 1. Practical application of engineering methods; 2. Vehicle motion systems (electric powertrain, brake system or driver assistance) and respective actuators; 3. Product or vehicle systems development including application of model based systems engineering and vehicle systems testing; 4. Developing vehicle test cases, validation plans as well as troubleshooting vehicle systems; and 5. E/E architecture, or communication systems (CAN, Ethernet, or LIN). Telecommuting: Hybrid, 1 Day-Work from Home. Travel 20% (both domestic and international).
