Role Purpose: The Electronics Technician Apprentice will learn, with the assistance of a journeyman, to assemble, trouble-shoot, analyze, repair, modify, program, and install any form of plant instrumentation or electronic equipment as specified.

Essential Job Functions & Expected Outcomes: Your Accountabilities in the Role

· Learn to apply electronic theory, principles of electrical circuits, electrical testing procedures, engineering mathematics, physics, and related knowledge to lay out, build, test, troubleshoot, repair, and modify developmental and produce instrumentation.

· Learn how to read electrical schematics and diagrams.

· Willingness to learn the practical application and theory of a wheat stone bridge wiring diagram.

· Willingness to learn how to solder using lead free solder.

Education : High school or equivalent

    Mathematical Skills

    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

    Reasoning Ability

    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

    Physical Capability

    Ability to remain in stationary position for long periods of time utilizing a microscope. Must be have attention to detail and fine motor skills.

    Customer Focus: This is a highly visible position with a critical impact on the company’s future. Internal and external contacts include all levels of employees within the company, division management, consultants, and other professional business contacts within the industry. External contacts are key to the effective execution of the objectives of the company. Frequently these interactions will involve extremely complex, emotional and sensitive issues.
