Job Description – Maintenance Technician

SUMMARY:

Supports daily production operations by troubleshooting and continuously improving operational control systems. Responsible for repairing and maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment, including motors, pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Performs general maintenance functions such as welding, machining, and equipment upkeep to ensure efficient plant operations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Two-year certificate from a college or technical school preferred, or six to twelve months of related experience and/or training.

  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.

  • Experience:

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in a multi-shift manufacturing facility.

  • Experience in food production is a plus.

  • Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in operating lathes, drill presses, grinders, and other fabrication and repair tools.

  • Skilled in arc and wire-feed welding.

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.

  • Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic-driven controls and equipment.

  • Experience with computerized maintenance systems.
