Tuknik Government Services, a Koniag Government Services company , is seeking an Executive Speech Writer with a current/active Secret clearance and be upgradable TS/SCI to support TGS and our government customer in Falls Church, VA.

The CDAO requires an Executive Speech Writer to support senior leadership in effectively communicating synchronized strategic messages across various engagements. This full-time position would be assigned to support the Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Officer (CDAO), Principal Deputy, Chief Artificial Intelligence Office (PDCDAO), and Executive Director.
Engaging with the public and industry partners is crucial for the CDAO to foster innovation, collaboration, and strategic partnerships. An Executive Speech Writer prepares tailored remarks and talking points for these interactions, ensuring that the CDAO’s priorities and initiatives are clearly communicated. A dedicated Executive Speech Writer will ensure consistency in messaging thereby contributing to the success of the engagements by promoting a coherent and professional image of the CDAO.
This Executive Speech Writer role is critical to enhance and align CDAO communication at public speaking events, interactions with industry, office calls and senior DoD related discussions. A dedicated speech writer ensures that these speeches are well-crafted, impactful, and aligned with the CDAO’s strategic objectives. A dedicated Executive Speech Writer will ensure the clarity and effectiveness of the messages delivered, fostering better understanding and support from stakeholders. Additionally, messaging drafted by Executive Speech Writer and then used by the CDAO, PDCDO and Executive Director will trickle down to the CDAO Directorates promoting one brand and one voice for the organization.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Speech Writing for Speaking Events:
Draft, edit, and finalize speeches for CDAO, PDCDO and Executive Director for various events such as conferences, ceremonies, and public addresses.
Ensure speeches are tailored to the audience, occasion, and strategic objectives of the CDAO.
Support for Senior Leaders’ Engagements:
Prepare remarks and talking points for senior leaders’ engagements, including dinners, office calls, and international meetings.
Develop content for informal and formal settings, ensuring consistency in messaging and tone.
Research and Analysis:
Conduct thorough research on relevant topics, current events, and audience demographics to inform speech content.
Analyze feedback and outcomes from previous speeches to continuously improve the quality and impact of communications.
Collaboration and Coordination:
Work closely with senior leaders, CDAO Strategic Engagement Lead, Public Affairs Officer, and other stakeholders to gather input and ensure alignment with CDAO priorities.
Coordinate with event organizers to understand the context and requirements of each engagement.
Qualifications:
Demonstrated research, critical thinking, and oral and written communication abilities
Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work effectively on teams contributing to multiple projects in a fast-paced, high-intensity, team-oriented environment.
Strong facilitation skills and the ability to build relationships and interface with senior level leaders across the organization.
Positive can-do attitude, willingness to take initiative, and ability to quickly adapt to the evolving needs of the team.
Strong proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook application skills.
Desired Skills:
Prior federal government, professional services, or federal contracting experience
Knowledge of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data science concepts, methodology and techniques.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as public policy, economics, statistics, business, data science, or industrial/organizational psychology (master’s degree in in related field preferred)
Security Pre-Requisite:
- To be considered, must have a CURRENT/ACTIVE TOP SECRET security clearance and be upgradable to TOP SECRET/SCI.
Office Location and Travel:
Hybrid Remote with office in Falls Church or Arlington, VA
Travel on an as-needed and as-required basis to fulfill mission objectives
Minimum travel as-scheduled for team-related activities and status updates (Falls Church or Arlington, VA or Pentagon)
Working Environment & Conditions
This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress.
The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
