The position of Region Supplier Relations Director will be based out of Fall River, MA!

Summary

We are seeking a Region Supplier Relations Director to help establish and drive above market and profitable sales through key suppliers, as well as identify opportunities to optimize suppliers by product category. This role will support the NY, NJ, PA, CT, VT, RI, ME, MA, NH markets and will coordinate with field/commercial teams as well as advocate for full offer commodity sales across industrial accounts

What You’ll Do

  • Establish and drive the procurement of commodity materials in alignment with regional leadership for assigned commodity and other product categories

  • Work with region leadership to identify market pricing and set costs that achieve/exceed the region’s favorable purchase variance targets

  • Lead the negotiation of regional rebate programs, volume discounts, and special pricing agreements in alignment with national category management

  • Be fully engaged and responsible for the success of national promotion programs

  • Develop and manage a product/SKU strategy by customer segment and customer delivery model in conjunction with the national/regional offer plan

  • Increase the overall sales percentage of select suppliers (Tier 1 & 2) across the region

  • Coordinate with procurement by product lines/geographies

  • Communicate/coordinate (large) job opportunities with field teams

  • Lead a regular cadence of communication with key team members across the region and company (as required)

  • Coordinate with marketing to establish regular sales promotions for select products/categories

  • Responsible for metrics reporting as required

  • Key performance indicators (KPI) to include, but not limited to commercial and gross margin rates for assigned categories, purchase variance attainment, regional rebate program attainment and stock sales

  • Other duties as assigned

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing or other related business field

  • 8+ years of experience

  • Previous Managerial experience is required

  • Practical experience within the electrical supply distribution industry a plus

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong negotiation skills required

  • Industry knowledge and understanding of market dynamics

  • Industry knowledge in electrical or related industry

  • Ability to understand market conditions, competitive forces, determine market share, and identify opportunities for growth

  • Knowledge in vendor negotiation tactics

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Strong analytical skills
