This individual is a key member of the Plant Operating Committee (POC) and will collaborate with plant team to advance 3M.As a Site Operations Manager, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:Working with plant team set short- and long-term strategic plans and operating plans for departments. Ensuring alignment of plant goals, metrics and targets to Business Group and Enterprise Operations targets.Providing direct supervision to manufacturing supervisors, production support and manufacturing engineering groups.Assuring compliance to EHS standards, policies and procedures and driving an engaged 0 incident mindset.Overseeing the implementation of and adherence to company polices and compliance with CBA.Developing team through facilitation, coaching and teamwork.Partnering with the Quality and Planning organizations to drive Customer First initiatives in quality and service improvement.Driving sustainable improvements in plant COGS performance through application of continuous improvement methodologies on yield & productivity improvements.Developing or directing development of standard operating, quality and administrative procedures for operations departments.Developing annual operating budgets.In conjunction with engineering identify, develop and prioritize capital plans.Your Skills and ExpertiseTo set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Bachelors degree or higher from (completed and verified prior to start)Five (5) years of experience in a manufacturing environment in a private, public, government or military environmentThree (3) years of experience in a leadership and/or supervisory roleAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Experience in a union facilityUnderstanding and experience leading Shingo principles and/or principle-based leadershipCertified Lean Six Sigma Black BeltCertified Lean leader with experience implementing Lean manufacturing principlesDemonstrated ability to lead attainment of aggressive objectives for EHS, Quality, Service and CostExperience supporting multiple divisions and commodity groupsDiverse Manufacturing Experience (Technologies, markets Served, Divisions, etc)Work location:Fairmont, MNTravel: May include up to 10% domesticRelocation Assistance: May be authorized.Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Supporting Your Well-being3M offers many programs to help you live your best life both physically and financially. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
