Advanced Practitioner Role Scope At HHC Advanced Practitioners (APP) enjoy the full scope of advanced practice and receive recognition and respect for their contributions to high quality patient care. We are currently seeking a Nurse Practitioner or a Physician Assistant to serve as a clinical leader for the Urgent Care Clinics (UCC) in Southwestern Connecticut, partnering closely with Physician Medical Director, Operational Director, Regional Manager as well as clinical peers in the specialty area. The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will act as a leader for Advanced Practice (AP) staff and oversees AP staff regarding performance, quality & safety, training and education, is seen as an “expert” and a role model within the division and assists and oversees AP student rotations within the division. Scheduling and Practice Locations · Full time (1.0 FTE) leadership position that includes an expectation to maintain at least 24 hours/week in clinical practice to maintain proficiency and clinical oversight at all locations · Direct oversight & develop the clinical quality program (in conjunction with Physician Medical Director) * Monday through Friday * Practice locations will include: o Fairfield, CT – Primary o Norwalk, CT o Monroe, CT o Shelton, CT o Stratford, CT o Trumbull, CT o Westport, CT o Stamford, CT o Wilton, CT Hartford HealthCare Advanced Practitioners Enjoy: * No call! * Competitive Compensation * Matching 401k, tiered medical, dental, and vision plans * Generous Paid-Time Off * Reimbursement for CME, professional society membership, licensure, and malpractice * State of the art clinical and informatics technology. * LEAN process improvement to drive quality outcomes and positively enhance both the patient and the provider experience. * Proven and effective onboarding with supportive ongoing mentorship Urgent Care Advanced Practitioner Requirements: * Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner Master’s program * Licensed as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner / Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the state of Connecticut * Certification as a Physician Assistant orNational Board Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) required · Candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of clinical experience (urgent care, emergency medicine, or similar setting), experience as a leader, and ideally possess the desire to grow and develop their clinical & leadership potential and that of their team * Urgent care or occupational health experience is highly preferred · Training and experience treating patients of all ages; birth through geriatrics We take great care of careers.
