Job Description Summary
We are currently seeking a talented Supply Planner to join our team at Becton Dickinson. As a Supply Planner, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our supply planning process. If you have approximately 3 years of experience in Spare parts EMEA supply planning ideally in the automotive industry and are skilled in analytical thinking and stakeholders management, we want to hear from you! This Eysins located position does not offer relocation support and is open to candidate with valid Swiss working permit.
The Supply & Inventory Planner EMEA determines the quantities by product required to maintain target inventory levels and order product from source to replenish based upon appropriate lead time. She/he coordinates finished goods sourcing activities across Plants and External Supplier Network optimizing available capacity and assets. The Supply & Inventory Planner EMEA drives S&OP Supply consensus and macro level capacity management. She/he also recommends and set inventory levels to support the region's service levels in alignment with the Global Business and Supply Chain objectives.

Main Responsibilities:
Supply & Inventory planning
Responsible for regional service level achievement for assigned product groups in alignment with global recommendations
Responsible for monitoring Regional Alert Monitors
Work with the regional demand planner to get understanding on the product demands within the region
Responsible for executing & facilitating allocation decisions within the region in short supply situations
Responsible for defining the appropriate planning strategy (MTO/MTS/ATO) for assigned product portfolio aligned with manufacturing practices
Work with global planning to document and maintain lead times within the integrated supply chain that will affect required inventory levels within the region, and communicates with global planning to determine corrective action if required
Engage with the worldwide planning organization on management of long term product supply shortages e.g., temporarily reduce inventory targets in order to automate the propagation / distribution of the materials with shortages, creation of manual STO's for the regions to allow fair share deployment between domestic and intercompany shipments, etc.
Work with global and regional supply chain teams to achieve an optimal distribution network, and maintain a key coordination point with local warehouse management and transportation functions.
Provide projections to regional warehouse management and transportation functions on Inbound and Storage Volumes
S&OP process facilitation
Facilitate the Regional Demand/Supply Review and represent that information in the Regional S&OP meetings: ensure timely collection and review of the appropriate information required for this forum to accurately determine regional production plan and eliminate any inefficiencies potentially impacting the key metrics
Represent the region in the WW Demand/Supply Review, ensuring timely collection and review of the appropriate information required for this forum and jointly contribute to decisions to ultimately determine global production
Interface with WW Demand/Supply Planners for plants globally and S&OP Process owners
Support WW Supply Chain key initiatives to accomplish best in class forecast accuracy and provide support in meeting goals across all other SC KPI's to ultimately help manage production/distribution costs
Business performance management
Responsible for regional key metrics, i.e., backorder, inventory turns, FDS, line fill
Liaison to regional business cross-functional leadership team to understand business strategy and future business needs
Translate business/supply chain needs into supply needs
Work closely with plant to understand capacity resources, LTP and lead product changes and launches
Maintain a strong link with the business activities and global issues as they may affect respective products sold in the region regardless of where the products are manufactured.
Qualifications
University degree in Business, Supply Chain or related fields.
Minimum 3 years in a manufacturing regional of globalSupply Planner position. Automotive industry experience would be ideal!
Strong analytical skills, capable to drill-down for root cause analysis, linked to capability to synthesize and translate findings into business language
Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
Proficient in the use of Excel, Power Point and Word
Working knowledge of SAP and CI tools (i.e., Six Sigma) would be a plus
Fluency in English required
Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to tailor communication to different levels in the organization
The Supply Planner plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth functioning of the supply planning process. They are responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels, managing supply risks, and facilitating effective decision-making.
