Alerus Financial Treasury Management Associate, Senior in Excelsior, Minnesota

Description Position Summary: The Treasury Management Associate, Senior is responsible for supporting Treasury and Business Advisors in enhancing existing relationships and developing new business opportunities. Working closely with the entire Treasury Management team and Business Advisors, the Treasury Management Associate, Senior will act as the subject matter expert for executing treasury management agreements and completing the setup for treasury management products. This position is responsible for the account fulfillment and onboarding of commercial deposit clients. The Treasury Management Associate, Senior is also responsible for mentoring and training other Treasury Management Associates as needed. Essential Responsibilities: Job Function 1: Client Experience, Service and Retention - 40% Work closely with treasury advisors, business advisors, product specialists, and others as necessary to fulfill commercial clients' financial needs. Update CRM software to capture client activity, schedule required follow-up actions, and effectively onboard commercial clients. Keep client team informed of sensitive client issues and client requests. Provide effective communication to inquiries from external and internal clients accurately and timely, tracking in the CRM and keeping the advisor informed as necessary. Complete setup of cash management services on business online platform, positive pay platform and remote deposit platform. Perform risk assessment to determine exposure limits for both business and retail clients, and complete temporary and permanent limit change requests. Review analysis statements after onboarding to ensure accuracy of monthly service fees or for identifying discontinued services. Monitor and respond to customer requests stored in Refund NOT OD category of Ops Discussion database. Occasionally may perform technical product demonstrations via webinar. Conduct training onsite or via Webex for clients requesting new services or needing additional training on existing services. Job Function 2: System Support - 30% Perform testing of new and existing vendor/ treasury applications and systems. Stay current on trends that impact Alerus' relevancy in the competitive space of treasury. Conduct testing for reported Treasury product issues and determine appropriate solutions to resolve the issues. Participate in special projects and initiatives as directed by management. Develop and maintain Treasury manual and R&R to ensure that all processes are documented and updated. Job Function 3: Treasury Management Account Fulfillment - 20% Work with Treasury Management Advisors to support and assist in the sale of new treasury products and services. Coordinate and provide account fulfillment for new and existing treasury management services. Draft and execute agreements for treasury management services. Create and maintain customer profile in Deposit Product Discussion database. Ensure signed agreements are properly stored in Nautilus for all cash management setups. Complete Annual ACH and RDC annual reviews as required by compliance. Complete Annual merchant card review. Job Function 4: Team Member Support - 10% Provide direction, mentorship, or support to other team members as appropriate. Conduct training for new Treasury Management Associates and others as needed. Position Requirements: Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field or equivalent work experience required. Minimum 3 years of Treasury/Cash Management experience required. Minimum 5 years of financial services experience required, 7 or more years preferred. Previous experience utilizing CRM software to track and manage sales opportunities. Proficient working with Microsoft Office suite. Proficient working with technology and different computer systems. Demonstrated record of proven sales ability and client service abilities. Personal Characteristics: Established interpersonal and negotiating skills. Attention to detail. Ability to manage the stressful nature of work and maintain professional composure, attitude, and behavior at all events. Proven problem solver. Work well in team environment. Proven written and verbal communication skills. Time management skills. Physical Demands - Must be met with or without a reasonable accommodation: Extended periods of time sitting at a desk and using office equipment. Ability to operate a personal computer/laptop for approximately 8 hours per day. Extended time is spent reviewing physical and electronic documents. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision. Periodically, may also do light lifting of supplies and materials which weighs in at approximately 20 lbs. Will spend most of time in an indoor environment.
