Description
We are looking for an Accounting Manager to join our team in the manufacturing industry in Everett, Washington. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of inventory records, analyzing transactions, and reconciling discrepancies. You will be working closely with various teams, including procurement, operations, and warehouse, and will oversee the entire Inventory team.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain and analyze inventory records, identify and reconcile any discrepancies
• Conduct detailed root cause analysis for variances and maintain inventory KPI’s and metrics
• Improve the accuracy and efficiency of monthly close process through the creation of new and enhancement of existing processes
• Collaborate with procurement, operations, and warehouse teams on matters related to purchase order creation, receiving, and shipping
• Review monthly account journal entries and reconciliations for finished goods, in-transit inventory, freight and duty asset accruals
• Conduct monthly general ledger account analysis to identify trend variances or potential misstatements
• Comply with company identified key SOX controls and maintain the required levels of documentation and review support
• Manage the Inventory Supervisor and oversee the Inventory team
• Maintain integrity of tooling and mold inventory and conduct ROI analysis
• Maintain inventory aging’s and reconcile prepaid inventory
• Implement procedural and policy changes to improve departmental efficiency
• Create and maintain process documents for various duties as assigned
• Coordinate with external auditors on a quarterly and yearly basis regarding all aspects of Inventory and related costs.
The salary range for this position is $120,000 to $150,000 + bonus.

Requirements • Proven experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry, preferably in a managerial or supervisory position.
• Comprehensive knowledge of inventory accounting, inventory records, and inventory reconciliation.
• Proficient in variance analysis and providing clear variance explanations.
• Demonstrated experience in process improvement within an accounting context.
• Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes, and the handling of purchase orders.
• Ability to review and manage journal entries and general ledger.
• Experience in ledger account analysis.
• Familiarity with SOX - Sarbanes-Oxley regulations and compliance.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage an accounting team effectively.
• Proficiency in account management.
• Knowledge and experience in developing ROI models.
• Experience in liaising with external auditors as part of the audit process.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office software, particularly Excel, and accounting software.
• Relevant professional qualifications in accounting or finance, such as a CPA or equivalent.
