Work location: The address is 251 Westpark Way, Euless, TX 76040
Hours will be Monday-Friday; 8:00PM-6:00AM, no weekends, no holidays
Salary range for a MLS is Minimum $26.69/hr. to Maximum $39.50/hr. – based on relevant experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology program or equivalent science required
2 years hospital experience or Medical Laboratory experience preferred
Knowledge of the principles, methods, materials, equipment and techniques of medical technology
Ability to effectively prioritize and problem resolution
Demonstrates the ability to analyze situations to make operational decision to meet clinical demands
Demonstrates customer-focused service skills
Demonstrates verbal and written communication adequately to facilitate training of laboratory and non-laboratory staff, to communicate specimen collection, effective handle requirements and provide assistance and support to laboratory and other health care staff
Demonstrates effective interpersonal and organizational skills
Basic computer knowledge
MLS – Medical Laboratory Scientist Certified by ASCP, AMT, HEW, HHS or NCA required upon hire OR
MT (ASCP) – Medical Technologist required upon hire OR
MT – Medical Technologist required upon hire
Position Responsibilities The MLS are responsible for the delivery of specimen integrity, daily lab operations, test procedures and quality control/documentation. You may also be responsible for some additional tasks on an as-needed basis.
