Universal Engineering Sciences Survey Division Manager in Escondido, California
Salary starting at $150k/yr.
*Salary is negotiable, depending on experience, skillset, and certifications.
Job Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee boundary, topographic, ALTA, construction staking, and other related surveys.
Analyze and interpret Title reports, legal descriptions, aerial planimetric , maps, and other relevant data.
Direct and supervise the work of survey technicians, assistants, and other related staff. Provide mentoring and training to junior staff and team members.
Coordinate with engineers, architects, and other professionals on projects.
Ensure all surveying practices and documentation are in compliance with the regulations and standards set by the state of California and local governing agencies.
Build and maintain client relationships by delivering outstanding service and timely project completion.
Stay updated with emerging trends, technologies, and regulations in the surveying field.
Prepare scopes of work with associated fees and schedules, negotiate contracts including additional services, prepare presentations, proposals, respond to RFP's and RFQ's in conjunction with corporate business development team.
Required Qualifications
Current Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in the State of California.
Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, or a related field is preferred.
Minimum of 5-7 years experience in land surveying, preferably in California.
Proficiency in surveying software and technology, including GPS, Total Stations, and CAD software.
Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Adept at working both independently and as part of a team.
