Cartamundi Bobst Operator 2nd Shift in Erlanger, Kentucky

The Bobst-Calem Operator will be responsible the safe and efficient operation of the Bobst and Calem machines. This is a 2nd shift position. The hours of work are Monday-Friday 2:45PM to 10:45PM
What you’ll do as a Bobst-Calem Operator:
Principle Duties (Bobst):
Locate and transfer printed card sheets to the Bobst machine from the press
Load the machines, often while the machine is running
Inspect the machines periodically for debris
Check sheets as they exit the machine for proper alignment and cut quality
Adjust and test sheets through the machine when alignment is required
Operate the machine controls to adjust paper position, speed, air pressure, etc.
Periodically inspect the machine oil pressure, knives, dies, motor filters, and motor brushes
Periodically performs machine maintenance such as oil replacement, clean the motor brushes, filters, and gripper bars
Rotate the bottom plate every two weeks
Complete production logs and performs system documentation
Move completed product to the Calem machine
Principle Duties (Calem):
Inspect sheets that are removed from the Bobst machine for visual defects
Load sheets into the Calem Machine
Inspect the machine for proper gauge settings and roller appearance
Monitor gauges during machine operation
Manually clean rollers
Monitor and clear the machine of jams, debris and miss-fed sheets
Contact Supervisor when problems occur or when the embossing fluid needs to be refilled
Audit finished sheets for proper thickness and finish: adjust the machine settings accordingly
Remove finished card sheets from machine
Complete multiple product logs and perform system documentation to transfer inventory in SAP
Other duties as assigned
We’re looking for a Bobst-Calem Operator with:
Knowledge
Minimum 2 to 5 years of machine operation experience
Prior printing experience preferred
High School diploma or equivalent work experience
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Skills
Strong Mechanical aptitude
High attention to detail and judgment based on written procedures and guidelines
Ability to quickly identify production problems and ability to identify quality problems
Ability to work well with others and cooperate with team members and leadership team

Physical requirements and working conditions:
Our manufacturing Plant is comprised of enclosed office and manufacturing space. This position requires the ability to:
Move throughout the entire facility to attend to various issues
Work effectively in teams across functional groups with strong communication skills and the ability to lead
Perform sedentary work on various computer systems
This Bobst-Calem Operator position is located on-site in our Erlanger, KY facility
