Description
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Director of Finance in Ennis, Texas. The successful candidate will have the responsibility to provide strategic direction for the execution of growth strategy, lead in the analysis of new product launches, support the sales team in bid reviews, and manage financial statements and operational reports among other duties.
Responsibilities:
• Provide strategic direction to the business for the execution of the growth strategy
• Lead and be an integral part of the Growth strategy and continuous profit improvement
• Support the Sales and the Estimating team in bid reviews
• Track and improve Customer, Projects and SKU profitability
• Collaborate with senior management to explain results, manage projects, identify inefficiencies, understand operations and lead the development of complex analysis
• Prepare forecasts of income statement, balance sheets, and statement of cash flows
• Manage month-end closing and prepare monthly financial statements and other operational reports
• Analyse variances (Material/Labour/Overheads) and communicate explanations to management with recommended actions to improve profitability
• Ensure robust process and controls around project accounting and ensuring that revenue recognition is in line with Corporate Accounting Policies
• Implement a new Project accounting and Manufacturing software for the business
• Monitor and implement plant internal controls as necessary to ensure reporting integrity, safeguard company assets, and identify risks
• Integrate and train new staff while leading the continued professional development of the existing team
• Ensure proper accounting in accordance with Local Generally Accepted Accounting Principles as well as local statutory requirements.
Requirements • Must hold a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Prior experience in a senior financial management role is essential
• Proficient knowledge of Cost Accounting and Financial Statement Preparation
• Strong understanding of Project Accounting and GAAP Accounting
• Excellent leadership and team management skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Proficient in the use of financial management software
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills
• Ability to strategize and solve problems
• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity
• Ability to strategize and produce business value
• Understanding of data privacy standards
• Solid communication skills, both written and verbal
• Deep understanding of business principles and practices
• Superior attention to detail
• Well-organized and results-driven
• Excellent leadership and decision-making abilities.
