Position Specific Description

This position is part of the growing RNG Team within NextEra Energy’s Power Generation Division.

RNG -Production Technician III is responsible for the operations portion of plant by monitoring, operating, and maintaining equipment within our RNG production facility. This includes but not limited to compressors, pumps, valving, and any other process equipment to ensure a steady supply of spec grade feedstock RNG is maintained and processed through the facility.

The RNG- Production Technician III performs routine inspections and maintenance tasks to ensure equipment is in optimal condition, identifying and addressing any issues promptly. Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and guidelines. Maintains accurate records of equipment maintenance, tracking, and production activities. Collaborates with the team to maintain a clean and organized work environment. Adheres to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a secure work environment. Participates in safety meetings and training sessions to enhance your knowledge and skills.

Position Specific Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring plant operations

  • Assisting with startup, shutdown, and operations of facility equipment

  • Identifying problems that arise and resolve them

  • Ensuring that safety and environmental rules and programs are strictly adhered too

  • Carrying out site inspections and audits

  • Performing preventative and maintenance measures

  • Observing gauges, dials, switches, and alarms, and other indicators to ensure that all machines are working properly

  • Comprehend and interpret P&ID’s and SOP’s

  • Maintaining a clean, hazard-free work environment

  • Flexibility to work shifts and overtime as needed

  • Operate a forklift to move materials and products within the facility safely

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee plant operations

  • Maintain communication with plant personal and leadership

  • Load and unload trucks when needed

  • Oversee forklift operations

  • Perform general housekeeping

  • Ensure plant adheres to safety and environmental rules

  • Identify process deviations and perform root cause/corrective action

  • Conduct area inspections and audits

  • Perform preventive and routine maintenance

  • Use scientific rules and methods to solve problems

  • Observe gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly

  • Replenish inventory as needed

Required Qualifications
