Job Duties and Responsibilities

This role will be onsite in Englewood, CO

The Technical Accounting Staff role will be responsible for assisting in the implication and application for complex accounting issues, which could include but are not limited to revenue recognition, leases, intangible assets, intercompany transactions and business combinations. This position will also be involved with monitoring new accounting literature and SEC rules and analyzing the impact on the Company, as well as assisting with updates to the Company’s accounting principles. This position will assist in the documentation of SEC filings and in the documentation of internal controls over financial reporting. The position will have other ad-hoc and special project responsibilities on an as needed basis. The individual will report to the Manager of Technical Accounting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the technical accounting team in all areas

  • Involved in special and ad-hoc projects

  • Research and document company accounting positions

  • Prepare models and forecasts

  • Assist in preparation of quarter and year-end financial statements

  • Assist in documentation of internal controls over financial reporting

Skills, Experience and Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or other related field

  • 2+ years of increasingly responsible accounting experience

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Big 4 certified public accounting firm and/or large SEC registrant experience strongly preferred

  • Strong verbal and writing skills

  • Effective organizational skills and ability to respond to requests efficiently

  • Detail oriented, proactive and service oriented

  • Ability to problem solve in a multi-task environment, adapt to multiple demands and shifting/competing priorities, and deliver high quality work in a fast-paced environment.

  • History of teamwork and willingness to dive-in to get the job done.

  • Intellectually curious, creative, and collaborative.

Salary Ranges

Compensation: $63,150.00/Year - $90,000.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location. Candidates need to successfully complete a pre-employment screen, which may include a drug test and DMV check.
