Job Duties and Responsibilities

We’re seeking a motivated Senior Indirect Tax Accountant to join our team. This person will be a primary point of contact for our Indirect/Telecom Tax audits and contribute to the research, analysis and documentation of company tax planning initiatives. They will continuously review current taxability setups and provide recommended changes as needed. This is an exciting opportunity to work with complex tax issues which have high visibility to senior management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to Indirect/Telecom Tax audit notices and document requests

  • Manage Indirect/Telecom Tax audit process (working as a primary point of contact for the auditor)

  • Gather and generate historical data to support tax returns

  • Identify tax savings and prepare refund claims

  • Conduct tax research for Indirect/Telecom goods and services

  • Perform system testing to ensure proper taxability

  • Review company purchasing activity for proper Indirect Tax treatment

  • Process and document customer tax exemption requests

  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding the taxes we charge

  • Interact and collaborate effectively with other members of the Tax Department, operating divisions, corporate accounting, etc.

  • Special projects as assigned

Skills, Experience and Requirements

Education Requirements:

  • Four-year Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field from an accredited university

Experience Requirements:

  • Ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience dealing with Indirect tax audits in a Multi-State environment. Telecom experience is preferred, but not required

  • Ability to analyze large amounts of data is a must, along with excellent MS Excel and written and verbal communication skills

Salary Ranges

Compensation: $72,350.00/Year - $103,400.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location. Candidates need to successfully complete a pre-employment screen, which may include a drug test and DMV check.
